93 points It's all here: pure cherry essence, star anise, amaro spice, spring florals, mountain herbs and slices of deli meat through the finish. The intensity of flavor is the standout in this 2021 The Dagger Pinot Noir, and it tends to ripple across the palate and through into the finish. There's a very attractive, leafy, kirsch character that lingers in the mouth.
91+ points The 2021 The Sabre Pinot Noir is brambly and yet taut, with a meandering, forest floor and berry-laden fruit profile. The wine shows all the hallmarks of the cool, measured 2021 season. It is a very pretty wine that also offers glimpses of its savory and graceful future.
92 points Ah. Really good. There's a deli meat/smoked peppercorn character on the nose that infuses the palate. This 2021 The Cutlass Shiraz is littered with dried tea leaves, tobacco leaves, blackberry pips, lavender, raspberry bramble and an endless cascade of fine tannins to hold it all together. This is an entrancing wine, quite different from the rest.
